La Hacienda Mexican Restaurant in Anamosa

I have ate here 3 times and every time the food was EXCELLENT. The wait service was excellent, and the Mango margaritas phenomenal.

We took our family there on a Sunday afternoon. There were two other small tables with customers. The waiter attended us promptly, got us our drinks and took our order. He was fast to bring food out, but when we needed something, we had to track him down and ask for it. Our kids ordered things that typically are consumed with ketchup. They had ketchup packets. Not a deal breaker, but ketchup packets suck. The queso was extremely thin and watery. The salsa was the same way. The sour cream on my food was really thin and watery also. I gave them two stars because our food order was accurate and fast. But in reality, this is my last resort restaurant from now on.

I honestly am a picky eater and don't eat much Mexican food, but their tacos were amazing. Granted mine were plain, but they were so good. And the service was amazing they were nice and made sure we got everything we needed.

The service is quick, food is great. Always a pleasant meal.

My 2 boys & I come here often! It is a treat to them! Salsa is great! Recommend the fajita mix! The staff is always friendly & great with my boys! Great place for meeting friends or just dinner with the family!

Stopped in for pickup. The prices weren't clearly outlined for their Tuesday special so I ended up spending about $10 more then expected.

Easily the only Mexican place I'll take my Aunt to. Easily. She likes it. A lot. Me too. And my cousin Cobra, loves getting the nachos. Love you guys!

Good food and friendly staff. The food was very reasonably priced and it was easy to get to from the highway. A great place to pull off and have a quick bite.

The food was alright but a little sparse on the steak (steak fajitas) but the service...well it took over 8 minutes to even come to our table to get our drink order then he took other customers orders (who came in after us) then finally took ours. That is why I gave 2 stars instead of 3

Fresh food, prompt and courteous service, relaxed environment.

The food is ok. The service not that okay. We were the only 2 people in the restaurant and we had to go find someone to get a refill and again had to find someone to get our check. Out food was delivered and then we never saw anyone again!

Place was horrible. Never seen a Queso dip so runny and had the consistency of water. The salsa had zero flavor. The pork burrito was under seasoned as I had to add salt just to taste something. The burrito shell was soggy as the red sauce that was poured on it was pretty much just watered down salsa. The service was pathetic. There were 5 of us and we were never offered refills. One person didn't get their shells for fajitas for over 10 minutes. We didn't get our check and had to go up to the counter to get it just so we could leave. I'm from out of town on training. Would never go here again.

I used to eat at their Cedar Rapids Blair's Ferry road location. Thought their anamosa location would be as good. Wrong. Was hoping to get a large beef burrito, at least, that is what I thought I ordered. Not sure what I got, but it was not good at all. Screwed up my family's order too (there were 6 of us), and they forgot one order, so one had to do without while everyone else ate (or their food would get cold), then the others hot to wait, waiting on the 6th to eat her meal. Portions were not all that large either. Chips and salsa were not very forthcoming (had to get up and go ask for more. Server was nowhere to be found), and to add insult to injury, the salsa was mild

ZERO STARS!!!!Guy was rude, couldnt understand him. Food quality was horrible for the price, can go to the monticello one get twice the food for less money. Best part is HE TOOK MY DAUGHTERS FOOD FROM HER AND SAID AS HE WAS ALREADY HANDLING HER PLATE, YOU ALL DONE? LIKE WTF NOW SHES DONE EVEN THO SHE HAD HALF OF HER FRIES STILL TO EAT!!!!Then i think the manager was too busy talking to his friends and about walked into.

Place was pretty empty so we had our choice of seats. Started filling up though quickly. Service was great even with only 2 waiters. Figured the food was going to be typical Hispanic food. Pleasantly surprised. Food was amazing. Obviously all freshly prepared in house. The shredded beef burrito I had was honestly the best I've ever tasted. I would strongly recommend this restaurant and when I come back through I'll be sure to stop again.

Friendly staff, food is delicious, good margaritas worth the stop

We have been there twice, probably won't go back unless it is for margaritas. Slow service & mediocre food don't make this place worth it. The 1st time they got my order wrong. 2nd time it took almost 10 minutes for drinks (Pepsi & mt dew) and one of the staff members was too busy getting some young girls' numbers to bother with tables. Both visits there were less than 10 tables occupied. Will make the trip to CR to Los Compadres to get great service and great food.

My boyfriend and I live not far from here so we eat here a lot. Cheap place with great food! We've even called and ordered food to go and it's been ready in less than 10 minutes. Love this place!

Great service, amazing food, not bad prices

First visit. Food prepared and tasted as expected. Prepared in a reasonable amount of time. Staff was unremarkable. Our problem was the flies. Someone had the side door open...we killed about 4 flies... still had about 2 or 3 more interrupting our meal.

Huge choice of nothing but delicious Mexican food! Great place for a date or for a family event!
